Dr. Kamran Akhtar
Dr. Kamran Akhtar is a senior expert in Veterinary Sciences and Livestock Management with over 30 years of service in Pakistan’s Livestock & Dairy Development sector. He holds a DVM and M.Sc. (Hons) in Veterinary Medicine & Surgery, with his Ph.D. in progress. He has served in key leadership roles, including Project Director of the Rural Poultry Project and Director General of Research & Supplies and Farms & Feed in Balochistan.
With experience in layer, broiler, and breeder farming across both government and private sectors, he has played a major role in establishing research institutes, hatcheries, and livestock breeding farms. Since 1996, he has also led Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories, a major vaccine manufacturer exporting internationally.
Currently a member of the Public Service Commission, Dr. Akhtar continues to contribute as a Technical Advisor, focusing on livestock development, animal health, rural poultry, and sustainable livestock policies.

Dr Bakhtiar Ahmed is an experienced personality with a proven track record of success in high-level executive roles. He has completed his DVM in 1975 and joined the Poultry industry. He has gained extensive knowledge in the areas of poultry feed business, strategy, operations, and financial analysis. During the year of 1985 he established his own business named “B A TRADERS”. The company is involved in import of feed grade raw materials for poultry industry. During the year 2011 he joined as a Director in Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories (Pvt.,) Ltd. and still to date. He is committed to driving corporate initiatives, streamlining operations, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. Dr Bakhtiar Ahmed is results driven person with a passion for helping organizations reach their goals.

Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories is state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Being a modernized WHO-cGMP-certified plant, producing high quality veterinary pharmaceutical products according to the WHO-cGMP standards to fulfill the needs of veterinarians globally. Plant is fully equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities that enable us to meet the quality protocols.
Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories, within its most modern and compact building, resumed production of medicines in the year 2024. Its specified manufacturing sections of Powder, Liquid, Vaccines and Penicillin are now working under respective professional teams. Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories has upgraded its manufacturing standard to ISO 9001- 2008 version. Hirra Pharmaceutical Laboratories is developing innovative medicines with high quality and bearable costs.
